Checkout Redirect is an integration between eBay and AuctionBlox that allows your eBay customers to checkout via your AuctionBlox-enabled online shop using eBay's checkout system. Use of checkout redirect streamlines the checkout process, and most customers can checkout in *4 clicks* entering only required payment information. AuctionBlox even automatically pre-populates the buyer shipping address using information provided by eBay!
One of the obvious advantages to a streamlined checkout process using checkout redirect is that customers have more time to browse your shop for additional items to purchase. Items purchased via your online shop do not incur additional eBay selling fees; therefore, upselling items from your shop outside of eBay is an easy way to increase both your sales and profits!
General information on the checkout process:
- Buyers originating from eBay use the "Pay Now >" button in the eBay listing or the link in the eBay "end of auction" email to begin the checkout process.
- EBay buyers are redirected from eBay to AuctionBlox where the customer's purchase information is retrieved and sent to your shop.
- Once the purchase information is verified, the eBay buyer is then redirected to your shop to review purchase details and provide billing information for checkout.
Note:
- There is no longer any need to embed checkout links in your eBay listing.
- We do encourage you to continue to send your end of auction emails through AuctionBlox, but please be sure to point the user back to the eBay listing and not directly to your site, because only eBay buyers that use checkout redirect have their information pre-filled during checkout in your shop.
Terms & Conditions:
- In order to provide the optimal experience for your customers, please pay your monthly AuctionBlox invoices promptly or put a credit card on file for automatic monthly billing.
- To qualify for checkout redirect, you must have a valid (shared or dedicated) SSL certificate installed on your shop, and your shop must be certified by a member of the AuctionBlox team.
- Get Setup! -
If you already have the checkout redirect feature, then there is nothing more for you to do.
If you do not have checkout redirect installed, then it can be self-installed for free. Please note that you must still contact AuctionBlox support to complete the certification process and activate this feature. If you wish for AuctionBlox to install the Checkout Redirect feature in your shop and manage the certification process, then an installation charge of $99.00 will apply.
